Building History

The building in question is a multi-story residential complex located in the heart of Hurstville. Its facade was showing signs of wear and tear, with cracked and discoloured surfaces. The balconies, while originally offering scenic views, have experienced deterioration, with loose railings and damaged concrete. To restore the building's aesthetic appeal and safety, comprehensive facade refurbishment and balcony remedial works are urgently needed. This strata building in Freshwater, Sydney, needed remedial work to correct for more than two decades of band-aid repairs.Situated at the northern end of Freshwater Beach, this building’s facade did not match its stunning location. Minor repairs over time had taken their toll.The project’s scope aimed to correct the imperfections: all 28 units needed balustrade upgrades, waterproofing to balconies, paving on pedestals, replacement of windows and doors and cavity flashing and extensive spalling concrete repairs. The whole building required rendering and painting.
